10 Things We Love About Mickey's Toontown In Disneyland

Mickey's House

7. The Mouse House and Barn

Despite being a famed celebrity Mickey Mouse doesn’t put on airs. He freely invites guests to stop in and visit with him live and in person (or should we say “in mouse”?) at his own home. Step inside and see the mouse house on self-guided tour. Some of the highlights you will notice in the living room include a player “Mouseway” piano, a working radio, curio cabinet full of Mickey’s personal mementos, a television, ringing phone, and even Pluto’s dog bed. In addition you’ll see plenty of other mousy décor and furniture pieces. In the laundry room you’ll find the washing machine actively cleaning a pair of Mickey’s gloves and a display of cleverly named cleaners like Mouse ‘n’ Glo, Toonox, Comics Cleanser, and other squeaky clean puns. Notice the broom in the corner from Mickey’s time as a Sorcerer’s Apprentice and other personal mouse effects. Continue on towards the backyard and out to Mickey’s barn-turned-movie house. Along the pathway you’ll see Pluto’s doghouse and Mickey’s very “lively” garden. In the barn you’ll find various props and mementos, including more of the famed Fantasia brooms, a magical mirror that Sorcerer Mickey likes to pop in and out of, and countless other sights and sounds. But the best part of all is that you get to meet Mickey himself! While in queue you’ll be treated to old Mickey films on a projector run by Goofy and Donald, who seem to be putting on a show all their own in the way of projector room mishaps! Then get your cameras and autograph books ready for your one-on-one moment with the famed mouse.
