3 Disneyland Parades and Why You Shouldn’t Miss Them

Christmas Fantasy Parade

2. Christmas Fantasy Parade – Disneyland Park

This festive Disneyland parade is clearly a seasonal parade, so if you have a chance to see it, take the chance! It won’t take long for you to pick your favorite part of the parade—or favorite parts! It debuts in November at Disneyland and continues until after the New Year. This happy production has been referred to as the merriest parade on Earth, and it’s easy to see why. Even the “unmerriest” of Scrooges will be cast into the holiday spirit as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and even the Disney princesses come out to celebrate the holiday season!

Catch Mickey and Minnie on ice skates. See teddy bears, ballerinas and prancing reindeer. There are even marching toy soldiers and dancing gingerbread cookies as only Disney can present them! There is a Frozen float as part of the parade festivities on which you’ll see Anna, Elsa and Olaf getting Guests into a festive holiday mood. On another float, Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale help with all the letters that have been written to Santa by children all over the world. Guests can even see Woody and Buzz from Disney/PIXAR’s Toy Story atop giant wooden blocks.

You won’t want to miss the Candlelight Ball that is part of the Christmas Fantasy Parade. Several of the Disney princesses are there, dressed to the nines in usual princess fashion. They dance and greet Guests along the parade route with all the glamour and grace for which they are known. Even good ol’ Saint Nick takes time off from his busy Christmas schedule to make an appearance in his sleigh at Disneyland during this parade.

The best places from which to view the parade are Main Street, U.S.A., near the Matterhorn or from an elevated place at the Main Street Train Station. Remember, since this is a seasonal parade, you won’t want to miss a single chance to see it!
