The Official Ceremonial Ribbon-Cutting at the 1959 opening of the 

Disneyland-Alweg Monorail in Tomorrowland.

 

 

Then Vice President of the United States, Richard M. Nixon and his  family officiate with Walt Disney at what turned out to be a "Ribbon-Tearing", opening the "Highway In The Sky". Here Walt introduces the Monorail to Tricia, Julie, Pat and Dick.
