Planning for Disneyland When You’re a Disney World Pro: Part One, Logistics

California Adventure

4. Layout

Alright, so you know how Disney World is all spread out and the four parks are separate and you have to figure out bus/boat transportation wherever you go? It’s not like that at Disneyland. Disneyland is VERY compact. Once you’re on site you can really walk anywhere. The tram from the parking structure will drop you off basically at an unofficial hub point connecting Downtown Disney to the entrances of Disneyland (on your left) and California Adventure (on your right). That’s right—the two parks are basically facing one another. The proximity is mind blowing when you’re used to Disney World. Similarly, the Disney resorts are right next to the parks. In fact, the Grand Californian has its own special entrance connected directly into California Adventure.
