8. “Toying” around with hidden Easter eggs
Disney*Pixar films are renowned for cleverly placed references to other Disney and/or Pixar films that are commonly referred to as “Easter eggs.” So it should come as no surprise that Disney California Adventure is laden with its fair share of Easter eggs as well. Many personal favorites pertain to the Toy Story movies. For example, if you look closely at the lobby of the Cozy Cone in Cars Land, you may just see Buzz Lightyear under one of the cones in a recreation of that noted construction cone scene in Toy Story 2. Keep an eye out for Hamm and Rex too, who may be in on the action as well! Also be on the lookout while in A Bug’s Land where a box of Woody’s Cowboy Crunchies can be spotted. Other fun references in other films include a box of Casey Jr. Cookies from Dumbo, also in A Bug’s Land, a Nemo you can find in Monsters, Inc.: Mike and Sully to the Rescue, and a little Pinocchio toy behind the counter at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. Be mindful of the many others that are laced throughout the park as well.
