When Walt Disney World closed in March, 2020, Annual Pass sales were put on hold. Even after the Theme Parks reopened new passes were still not sold. A new program rolled out on September 8, 2021. Here are the details.
The only level of Walt Disney World Annual Pass available for sale to everyone is the Disney Incredi-Pass. There are no block out dates with the top level. Disney Incredi-Pass Holders can hold up to five Disney Park Pass Reservations at a time. Disney Incredi-Pass sales are currently on hold.
The next level of Annual Pass is Disney Sorcerer Pass. This is for Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members. Disney Sorcerer Pass Holders can hold up to five Disney Park Pass Reservations at a time. There are block out dates around the holidays, but it is good for most of the year. Disney Sorcerer Pass sales are currently on hold.
Disney Pirate Pass is for Florida Residents only. Those with a Disney Pirate Pass can hold up to four Disney Park Pass Reservations at a time. There are block out dates around holidays, three day weekends, and during other busy times of year. Disney Pirate Pass sales are currently on hold.
The final and most affordable Annual Pass is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass. This is only for Florida Residents. Part of the reason why it costs less is because of the block out dates. It is not good on weekends, near the holidays, or other days that will have peak crowd levels. Disney Pirate Pass Holders can hold up to four reservations at a time. This is the only level of Annual Pass that is currently being sold.
The benefits are the same for all four levels of Walt Disney World Annual Pass. Standard Theme Park parking is included, as is Park Hopper. There are merchandise and dining discounts in some places. There are also discounts for some tours and special events. The is special Annual Passholder only merchandise.
There are two add-ons that can be purchased. The Water Parks and Sports Option can be added on. Unlimited Disney PhotoPass Downloads are another possibility. If you purchase the PhotoPass option, you will need it on only one Pass on your account.
Florida Residents have the option of a payment plan. A down payment is required for a new pass, and then the rest can be paid monthly. No down payment is needed for renewals.
Annual Passholders under the old (Legacy) program who want to renew will need to choose one of the new options. Renewals are being allowed, it is new Annual Pass sales that aren’t available on three of the four levels.
