Top 5 Restaurants At Disneyland's California Adventure

Cathay Circle

1. Carthay Circle Restaurant

Carthay Circle is one of the park’s most notable dining establishments. Modeled after its famed historic movie palace namesake, Carthay Circle dishes up the full star treatment in glitz and glamor direct from Hollywood’s Golden Age. Like a true movie house the versatile offerings you will find here take on many different genres, but all feature stellar presentations that are both entertaining and edible. Start off with Carthay’s signature fried biscuits—a fan favorite that always earns a standing ovation with faithful diners. Other options include ceviche of citrus-marinated cobia, blue crab lettuce cups, Tuscan golden tomato soup, tropical braised pork crepes, and so much more. The different entrée enticements for lunch and dinner make up a cast of a thousand with sesame and ginger-crusted salmon, gnocchetti pasta, sustainable fish of the day, grilled angus beef rib-eye, summer salad with roasted chicken, and chilled soba noodle salad, to name just a few. And don’t forget supporting sides like sesame-roasted broccolini, sautéed baby green beans, steamed jasmine rice, and mashed Yukon potatoes. Happy endings are a must with several dessert selections to choose from, like the Almond Chocolate “Rocky Road Brownie,” Iced Cookies and Cream Sandwich, or seasonal pie specialty.

The main attraction in Cathay Circle dining takes place on the second story of the replica theater building. On the first level you’ll find Carthay Circle Lounge, another great dining spot for smaller plates and a host of different drink selections. There is also another more esoteric lounge, Club 1901, which is exclusive to Club 33 members. On one final note, Carthay Circle also participates in the World of Color Dining Package as well as Frozen Dining Packages for live performances of Frozen at the Hyperion.
